I get it: we all have those days in which we don't want to do anything but scroll on our phones. Most people say this is a bad habit and that we should grab a book or go for a walk. But that's a whole other activity, when the purpose is to relax with our phones. Why does that have to be a bad thing? In my opinion, using technology and these modern resources can be a great way to relax and chill at home. The only thing that matters, and the one we should be the most careful, is with the content we decided to see. As I said, this can really affect our brain chemistry, so be wise about what you watch.

If you're here, you can probably tell I decided to share these cat pictures with you today. Nothing else: no memes this time. Just cat pics. Is that enough to be on the wholesome side of the internet? Yes, in my opinion. See, when it comes to animals, they don't have that part of the brain that's always grabbing onto the worst thought. They focus only on the present moment, and that can teach us humans one of the most valuable lessons.
Using the internet for happiness is a good approach, but if we look up low-quality content, we won't feel better about ourselves. If you take a look at your cat, they don't have to do that. They feel bad when they're hungry, tired, or it's time to shower. That's it. So, maybe we should be more like them.
So, the next time you're feeling down because you've just spent too much time dabbling in the wrong side of the internet, come back to this cat's photos, and they will ground you and remind you what's important in life: the present moment.
